AARMR Thanks Retiring Board Member, Rod Carnes

Rod Carnes is retiring after a long and successful career with the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance and will be resigning from the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators (AARMR) Board of Directors as of February 14, 2025. Rod attended his first AARMR event in 1998 and joined the AARMR Board in 2007. He has been an instrumental force in the organization, serving in multiple leadership positions, including as AARMR President.

Current AARMR President Kirsten Anderson noted that “Rod has always been an inspiration and role model for state regulators. He is hardworking, dedicated, and thoughtful. I have learned so much from him and will miss working with him.”

Immediate Past President Cliff Charland added, “I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Rod since I joined the AARMR Board in 2015, while Rod was President. We’ll all miss his knowledge, insight, and dedication to our organization.”

The AARMR Board thanks Rod for his years of dedicated service to our organization and eighteen years as a board member. We wish him well with his retirement.
